Because it is ground so finely, the powder is highly susceptible to external factors such as light, oxygen, and heat. The tea should therefore always be stored in a tightly sealed container in a place away from direct sunlight.

Why Hojicha Is More Than Just Roasted Tea
Hojicha is no ordinary green tea—the roasting process creates a pleasantly mellow aroma with notes of nuts, cocoa, and a hint of sweetness. Unlike classic matcha, hojicha is low in caffeine and versatile: enjoy it as a warming evening tea, a creamy hojicha latte, or as a fine powder for creative recipes.

Hojicha FAQ 🤎
Hojicha powder is roasted Japanese green tea that has been finely ground. The roasting process gives it a warm, nutty aroma—ideal for tea, lattes, or as an ingredient in baking and cooking.
Hojicha has a mild, pleasantly toasty flavor with notes of nuts, cocoa, and caramel. It is significantly less bitter than other green teas and has an almost calming effect—perfect for moments of relaxation.
Yes, but very little. Compared to matcha or coffee, hojicha contains only a fraction of the caffeine—making it ideal for the evening or for anyone who wants to enjoy a lower-caffeine option.
For Hojicha tea: Mix 1 tsp of powder with about 150 ml of hot water (80–90 °C)—and you’ve got a mild, toasty tea.
For Hojicha Latte: Mix 1 teaspoon of powder with a little water and pour in frothed (plant-based) milk. Sweeten if desired—creamy, nutty, and low in caffeine.
Our organic hojicha comes directly from Japan, where it is traditionally roasted—gently, to the highest quality, and 100% pure.
Matcha is unroasted and a deep green color. Hojicha is roasted, brown in color, and has a milder flavor. Hojicha also contains significantly less caffeine.
