History & Region

Find out exactly what matcha is here.

Our Organic Sencha No. 01 comes from the premier Kirishima region in Kagoshima Prefecture. The mineral-rich volcanic soil and mild climate provide the perfect conditions for this Sencha to develop its unparalleled character. The tea is exceptionally well-rounded, sweet, and full-bodied. The aroma is dominated by papaya and honey and lingers pleasantly in the mouth. An absolutely top-tier Sencha. Sencha is Japan’s most popular green tea. It accounts for nearly 80% of Japan’s total green tea production. This is due to its typically fresh and sweet flavor and high concentration of minerals. It contains a variety of antioxidants, amino acids, and vitamins. The tea is steamed only briefly (15–20 seconds). This stops fermentation and preserves the beautiful, dark green color of the Sencha. The darker and finer the tea leaves, the higher the quality and the better the tea.

Shelf Life & Storage

The green tea is delivered in an airtight, heat-sealed package.

The tea can be stored for up to two years without any problems. We’ve provided more information on this here.

For matcha only: Because it is ground so finely, the powder is highly susceptible to external factors such as light, oxygen, and heat. The tea should therefore always be stored in a tightly sealed container in a place away from direct sunlight.

Natural Energy Drink
