💡 Tip: Perfect for a matcha latte

Thanks to its intense aroma, this tea pairs better with milk (and milk alternatives) than teas that have been shaded for longer periods.

Herkunft & mehr Details

Was Matcha eigentlich überhaupt genau ist, erfährst du hier.

Our Itsutsu Organic Matcha comes from the premier Kirishima region in Kagoshima Prefecture. Kirishima, along with Nishio and Uji, is known for producing the best organic matcha tea in Japan. Thanks to its location in the south of the country, not only is the climate ideal for growing tencha, but the soil also offers excellent conditions. The mountainous region is an active volcanic landscape characterized by soil that is particularly rich in minerals and highly fertile. Thanks to these perfect conditions, the region has established itself as Japan’s second-largest producer of green tea. The raw tea comes from the second harvest. After steaming and gentle drying, the tencha is ground very finely. This gives the tea its delicate, velvety texture and makes it easy to whisk into a frothy foam.

Haltbarkeit
