Our Futatsu is a very mild tea with floral notes and a delicately sweet flavor. It is characterized by its creamy mouthfeel.

The Seiryū bowl, with its tall shape, is ideal for traditional preparation. Its color scheme is inspired by the blue dragon Seiryū. The chawan and the intricately crafted accessories are perfect for the tea ceremony.

A set specially curated for the traditional tea ceremony. It includes our premium organic Futatsu matcha, a beautiful chawan (matcha bowl), and accessories made of dark bamboo.

The tea

A gentle and sweet blend from Nishio in Aichi. The aromas are dominated by nutty notes and subtle floral hints. The tea is a deep green and has a creamy body. This matcha comes from the first harvest and was hand-picked. After being gently dried, the raw tea is ground on traditional granite stone mills and then sealed in an airtight container. An exceptional organic matcha for special moments.

The Bowl

Vibrant chawan with exciting colors and shapes. The blend of different shades creates a unique dynamic. Each bowl is one-of-a-kind. Its tall shape makes it ideal for the traditional tea ceremony. Its bold color scheme pairs perfectly with dark bamboo accessories.

The Bamboo Accessories

The set is complemented by a chasen (whisk) and chashaku (scoop) made of dark bamboo. This material is particularly elegant thanks to its unique patterns. The varied coloring of the wood complements the dynamic design of the matcha bowl very well. The chasen’s 100 delicate bristles make it easy to whisk the tea into a frothy foam. The spoon is used to scoop out and measure the powder. Both pieces are handcrafted from a single piece of bamboo according to traditional Japanese methods.

Shelf Life

The matcha is delivered in an airtight, heat-sealed package.

Matcha can be stored for up to two years without any problems. We’ve provided more information on this here.

Thanks to an additional rubber seal on the lid (especially sturdy on the storage bags), the tea stays fresh for a long time even after opening. Because it’s ground so finely, the powder is highly susceptible to external factors such as light, oxygen, and heat. The tea should therefore always be stored in a tightly sealed container in a place away from direct sunlight.
