Cold matcha - how it works

Three cold alternatives for enjoying matcha on hot summer days. Prepare an iced matcha latte, a matcha nice cream or a matcha lime lemonade with our Matcha Basic Line.

Summer has arrived throughout Germany in the last few days. With the high temperatures, most people don't feel like having a warm drink. But to make sure you don't have to miss out on your matcha, we've put together three cold alternatives listed for you. We can't wait to see how you like these cold pick-me-ups. Iced matcha latte

Add a generous heaping of bamboo spoon Matcha Basic Line in a bowlPour 30-50 ml of cold water over the powder and stir to form a thick paste. Then add 100 ml of cold water to the paste and stir with a whisk. bamboo whisk into a frothy tea. Now add 50-100 ml of cold milk (alternatively oat milk) into a sufficiently large glass. Now pour the creamy matcha into the milk. Depending on your preference, you can sweeten the whole thing with honey or agave syrup. For an extra portion of freshness, add a few ice cubes to the glass.

Tip for particularly hot days: freeze the cold matcha in the form of ice cubes. This gives you an extra cold matcha latte without watering down the taste.

Matcha Nice Cream

Take three ripe bananas and cut them into small pieces. Then freeze them overnight (at least 4 hours). The next day, chop the frozen banana pieces in a blender and optionally add some coconut milk or coconut yoghurt for a creamy consistency. After you have blended the whole thing briefly, add 2 teaspoons of Matcha Basic Line into your blender, as well as some honey for a little more sweetness. When the ice cream has the desired consistency, you can finish by decorating it with fresh berries, nuts, coconut flakes and lots of other delicious toppings.

Matcha lime lemonade

You will need a level teaspoon for this cold drink to take to the lake Matcha Basic Line, the juice of two limes and a few lime slices, as well as 500 ml mineral water, fresh mint and ice cubes. If you like it sweet, you can also add a little honey or agave syrup. Mix all the ingredients except the ice cubes and mint in a shaker (or blender).

Tip for a special eye-catcher: freeze the mint in the ice cubes and add a little Matcha Basic Line into the ice cubes.
