Original Japanese matcha set for the classic tea ceremony. With our organic Matcha Yottsu, a handmade Chawan (Matcha bowl) and matching accessories made of light-colored bamboo.

The tea

Our Yottsu is a particularly fresh matcha that is characterized by its complex nature and full body.
It is deep green and has a subtle citrus note. Together with our Itsutsu, it forms the Basic Line. The taste of this tea stands up particularly well to milk, making it ideal for matcha lattes.

The bowl

This unusual piece comes from Gifu Prefecture. High-quality stoneware and unusual tea ceramics have been produced in the region for centuries. With its slightly rough base and heavier weight, you will immediately notice that you are holding a piece of craftsmanship in your hands. Thanks to its large volume (11.5 cm diameter x 7.7 cm height), the chawan is ideal for preparing two portions of matcha.
Each bowl is a unique piece made by hand.

The bamboo accessories

The organic matcha and chawan are supplied together with accessories made of golden bamboo. The 100 filigree bristles of the whisk make it easy to whisk the tea into a froth. The long, narrow spoon is used to remove and dose the powder from the small tin. Both parts are made by hand in the Japanese style. The accessories are suitable for preparing koicha (thick) and usucha (thin) tea.

Thanks to an additional rubber coating on the lid (particularly stable upper on the storage bags), the tea stays fresh for a long time even after opening. Due to the extremely fine grinding, the powder is highly susceptible to external influences such as light, oxygen and heat. The tea should therefore always be stored tightly closed in a place away from direct sunlight.
