Porridge - probably one of the classics on the breakfast table.

Especially on cold days a bowl of this improves any rainy or snowy morning.

It can quickly prepared and can be adapted to suit your taste, so you can look forward to a new variation every time.

We would like to show you one of these versions here: Porridge with matcha. You can refine this type of porridge as much as you like and add any kind of nuts or fruit. With the extra caffeine kick from the matcha tea, this breakfast will give you even more energy for the day!

Ingredients

  • 50 g rolled oats
  • 250 ml water, milk or a plant milk alternative
  • a pinch of salt
  • one teaspoon Matcha Basic Line

Preparation

Roast the rolled oats for 5 minutes at high heat until they start to smell slightly fragrant. Then add the plant or animal milk of your choice and bring everything to the boil. As soon as the oats have reached the desired consistency and are firm to the bite, remove the pan from the heat and leave the porridge to cool slightly.

Stir in the meantime the matcha with a small amount of water to form a smooth paste (a chasen can help with this). This paste is then mixed with the porridge.

Now you can add fruits (we especially like apples and blueberries here) and/or nuts add.

If you like it crunchy, you can add a couple of chia or hemp seeds sprinkle over your porridge. Shredded coconut is also ideal here.

We hope you enjoy preparing it and wish you a good start to the next day!
