Fancy a snack that won't make you feel guilty and will give you plenty of energy? We have just the right recipe for you.

Matcha snack balls are the perfect vegan snack for in between meals. Healthy fats from nuts and cocoa, paired with carbohydrates from fructose and matcha, provide a quick and long-lasting energy kick. They are really easy to prepare and keep for up to a month in the fridge!

Ingredients

  • 75 g raw cashew nuts
  • 30 g cup raw walnuts
  • 175 g pitted dates
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tablespoon Matcha Basic Line
  • 1 teaspoon matcha (for tossing)
  • pinch of salt

Preparation

Finely chop the nuts using a food processor. If you have some more bite you can also remove a few coarsely chopped nuts beforehand and add them again at the end.

Now add all the remaining ingredients and blend the mixture until it forms a thick paste that you can shape with your fingers.

Now take a tablespoon and shape the mixture into balls the size of a walnut.

Roll the balls in the (ideally) sieved matcha to give them a bright green shimmer to give them a bright green shimmer. You can also use our basic quality matcha in this step. However, if you prefer, you can also use one of our premium quality matchas here, as you will have the matcha directly on your tongue later and the fine nutty taste can spread directly into your mouth!
